Tours

Our battlefield tours are done in uniform / period dress, by our staff. We cove most of the major actions at selected battlefield sites. We give our “hands-on” insight of equipment & weapons, as we describe and intrepid these hollowed grounds, while touring.

Although firearms are not permitted on Federal property / national battlefield parks or state owned parks, we do have non-firing weapons which we use on occasions to assist in our programs to help you understand the battlefields actions better, and life of the soldier.

As we tour these battlefields, we will tell you some of the histories, stories, facts and the outcome, to help you to understand better the actions that took place at these sites.

It would not be uncommon to see a field artillery piece, and have a mock demonstration on “how” this field piece was fired. Having the tour group take the places of a nine man gun crew, and handle a “wooden” projectile and “pretend” to load & fire this piece by the numbers.
“Imagining the opposing force of infantry or cavalry approaching, load your piece with a shell or case shot, fire … hurry, they are closing in fast….. They’re fix’n to charge…. They’re 50 yards away……Load a round of canister…….Stand fast…….. fire!”

Having some of the items on hand to demonstrate the above, makes everything you may have imagined more interesting & exciting
